The exhibition space of the Pianofabriek can be used as a laboratory of imagination by local artists and communities who dare to experiment. It is a place where social issues are not ignored, but made visible and open for discussion. We believe that art is the language through which we can speak about justice, solidarity, and our future. Innovative ideas do not emerge in silence, but in dialogue, in confrontation, in our imagination.
 

The Pianofabriek’s exhibition space is not a neutral room. It is a space where art and society meet, collide, and transform. Here, things are not only shown, but also thought, felt, and dreamed. To know whether your project belongs here, be sure to check our guiding principles connected to our mission and vision.

The conditions for exhibitions at Pianofabriek are open to discussion, but in principle the space is made available to a project for one month (including installation and deinstallation). An average budget of €500 is available and can be used, in consultation with the artists, for the exhibition, the opening and/or the closing event. The hospitality team can provide catering (within the budget). In consultation with, and depending on the availability of, the technical team, a technician can assist with the installation as well as the opening and/or closing event. During these moments, we encourage, for example, a small concert. A grand piano is available in the space, and a DJ set can also be installed.
