A space for art & engagement

Pianofabriek opens its doors to everyone looking for space to create, rehearse, or present their work.
We support projects by emerging and local artists connected to Saint-Gilles or Brussels. Think exhibitions, music, (children’s) theatre, or short residencies during school holidays.
We also host short residencies for professional performing artists, through the non-profit organization Kunstenwerkplaats, which is active within our building.

1060 Pitch is an open call where artists can pitch their projects to take over Pianofabriek’s exhibition space.
Our goal is to create an accessible and welcoming meeting place for Brussels-based artists, where emerging artists (age doesn’t matter!) can practice presenting their work, and where a local audience can discover local talent.
Through public voting, we encourage the audience to take an active role as programmers.

We also organize COLABZ-music twice a year: free rehearsal space for musicians or bands in exchange for a performance.
We provide basic equipment (PA system, amplifiers, piano, etc.) and one four-hour rehearsal slot per week.

At the same time, Pianofabriek is also a meeting place where artistic experimentation, shared space, and community spirit come together.
We make room for your ideas and explore together what’s possible within our mission and vision.
