This first assembly of the Insalaha residency at Pianofabriek is an open gathering for collectives, activists, workers, researchers and anyone curious or concerned about the arrival of Frontex at Gare du Midi.
Together, we will begin developing research strategies to better understand what this presence means in and around the station. The session includes an introduction to critical mapping practices as shared tools for observing, documenting, and analysing urban space. The aim is to collectively produce accessible materials (pamphlets, zines, posters, and other printed formats) that can circulate beyond the room.
No prior expertise is needed! The assembly is conceived as a space for collective learning and inquiry. Sign up is not mandatory, but strongly encouraged.

Extra information
All our events follow a Ramadan-Friendly Charter: food and water are provided during iftar, events are alcohol-free, schedules are adapted to fasting hours, and a dedicated prayer space is available.
Insalaha Collective emerged from conversations around the publication of 'Updates from the border', a collection of newsletters written by an abolitionist organiser on the Bosnian-Croatian border. Through workshops, sounding projects, and militant research, Insalaha (denoting 'to repair' and 'to sound out') seeks to engage in concrete discussions on border abolition in the UK and Europe. From Monday March 16 to Sunday March 21st, they will organise a range of workshops and collective research sessions at Pianofabriek to investigate the arrival of Frontex in Brussels.
