FILM AT PIANOFABRIEK
Pianofabriek is a hub for film culture. This is where films are dreamed up and made, watched and discussed.
Production meetings, editing sessions, classes, film screenings, masterclasses, castings, pitching sessions, rehearsals, post-screening discussions, writing residencies… there is always something happening in the building.
CITYLAB
Citylab is the driving force behind the film programme. It supports independent Brussels-based filmmakers, coordinates workspaces for film projects, and programmes films at Pianofabriek, in Brussels secondary schools and at venues throughout the city.
We give priority to Brussels-based filmmakers who tell underrepresented contemporary stories and/or offer a critical perspective on society.
More information about the team can be found here.
SCREENING ROOM ARENBERG
Pianofabriek’s screening room is an ideal space for film screenings followed by discussions, film clubs, works-in-progress screenings, castings, conferences, etc.
Every month, we programme films here together with regular partners such as Le P’tit Ciné, Panorama Brasilis and NEZPAAL. Numerous local organisations also organise film screenings here, some of which are open to the public.
If you are visiting Pianofabriek, keep an eye on the film board to see what will be on over the coming weeks. If you would like to organise a screening here yourself, get in touch with us at film@pianofabriek.be.
EDITING STUDIO BETHLEHEM
Our editing studio is available to independent filmmakers. It is equipped with DaVinci, Adobe Creative Cloud and Final Cut Pro, as well as a sound card and a calibrated monitor. The space is also occasionally used for meetings or as a base for productions taking place nearby.
We give priority to independent filmmakers with limited production support. For more information, contact film@pianofabriek.be.
RESIDENCY SPACE DJIBOUTI
This duplex under the roof is a residency space for film and other projects in development. Equipped with a multifunctional workspace, a small dance studio and an audio system, the space can be used for several consecutive days.
Writing processes, collective research, production meetings, rehearsals, castings and masterclasses are just some of the activities that take place here.
