Charlotte Bouckaert ’To look for noon at two o’clock’ (working title)

maa 04/07/2011 > don 14/07/2011

The project ‘To look for noon at two o’clock’ is a research on the characteristics and limits of photography in relation to performance. An installation will be made where the public only sees the performance on the digital frame of the photocamera. The public decides when it takes a photograph, triggered by the sound. The public is both viewer and creator of the image.

There is a presence of a performance prior to the image. What lasts when the performance disappears? Is a photograph a proof of an existing reality? Does the photograph transform that which exists before the camera? To which level is the photo a reduction of the performance?

Performers: Alessandra Coppola, Michel Yang, David Zagari
