Everything we don’t know, we’ve stolen - Petar Sarjanović

maa 09/09/2019 > zon 15/09/2019

The research Everything we don’t know, we’ve stolen arises from the belief that culture permeates, educates and contaminates our minds and bodies, in that our ethical and aesthetic values can be defined as pre-learned, and our behavior and reactions as pre-formed. The research is an analysis and revision of the private archive of dance, music, film, theatre and writing that Petar Sarjanović has
encountered in the last years. What impact did the work of artists and writers such as Dominique Bagouet, Eula Biss, Miley Cyrus, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, Stuart Hall, Bernard-Marie Koltès, Kacey Musgraves, Fritz Lang, Alain Platel, Paul B. Preciado, Meg Stuart and Gloria Wekker have on his own artistic and personal imagination?

As a dramaturg, researcher, and performer Petar Sarjanović has been involved in the work of theatre makers, choreographers, dramaturgs and visual artists such as Mathieu Blond, Sabine Cmelniski, Mathias Gonzalez Daporta, Burkhard Körner, Nina Kurtela, Jaime Llopis, Sonja Pregrad, Juli Reinartz, Meg Stuart and Jasna Jasna
Žmak. He is also active as a writer, and co-organiser and adviser of the smaller scale festivals and events in Brussels (Friends With Benefits) and Berlin (3AM).
