Sanja Mitrović - Do You Still Love Me?

sun 19/04/2015 - 10:00 > 22:00

Sanja Mitrović is renowned for her affinity towards topical issues which she addresses with a lightness of touch and stages in surprising ways.

In her new work Mitrovi? continues to examine dramatic moments in which collective behaviour intertwines with the private sphere.
Do You Still Love Me? looks at the idea of destructive love, exploring what happens when this fine and often idealised emotion spirals out of control. The darker side of love can turn us into obsessive gamblers, lonely lovers, irresponsible parents, lunatics or criminals. In the end, violence seems an inevitable outcome. When do we turn from passive observers into active participants in a cycle of violence which destructive love breeds?
Based on personal stories and extensive research, Mitrović investigates how a person is affected and, sometimes, transformed by loving someone or something. Whether it is the love for a man, a woman, a band or a club – what if you give it your all and the other side doesn’t reciprocate? Beginning with a football game, and introducing surprise guest appearances, Do You Still Love Me? doesn’t shy away from a vision of love in all its complex shades.
